Does The Government Really Care About The Elderly?
What a quarantine will do to the elderly
We are told that this lock down for those that are over 70 is for the good; it's caring for the “most vulnerable.” Is it really? We know about the UN's Agenda 21 plan, now called Agenda 2030; to reduce the world's population by up to 90%. This is a fact about the UN – just look it up.
So, will quarantining the elderly for 3 months a good thing? (That is 3 months so far, it can change to longer.)
Here is what I see for those, essentially, locked up for 3 months will do:
- create lonesomeness
- creates stress
- lack of exercise
- lack of fresh air
- unable to pay bills
- not getting food that they normally eat
Now, not all elderly will suffer like this but some will. So, here are the details of the above.
Create loneness
For those who have no family or family that lives near by but normally sees neighbours near by will not be able to see them, especially if they are elderly, too. This can cause a great deal of stress, too.
Exercise
We know that you can do exercises at home but how many will? Getting out and walking your dog is much better than doing isometrics at home.
Fresh air
Naturally, you can open your window and get fresh air but it's not as good as actually walking. Fresh air and exercise helps build up immunity.
Sunshine
Sunshine is important to good health – that is how you get vitamin D. How much sunshine do you think people will get locked up in a flat? Not much, this will make them more susceptible to getting sick.
Psychological deterioration
Imagine being locked up in your flat for months and seeing the whole of spring pass you by? What if the lock down continues throughout the summer? You will not feel very good, especially those who are the out-door type. This will have a bad effect on your psychology as well as your health.
This is even worse for those who are over 70 and healthy. Sure, there are those who are already confined to a chair and have accepted their life; it would not be much change for them. But those that are healthy and usually go out – having to stay indoors would not be good.
Unable to pay bills
There are many people that still have to work but not being able to do so, will mean not being able to pay their utility bills. We are told that there will be a moratorium on mortgages and rents. That's fine but what about the electric, heat, gas? What about other bills? Even if the UK government ( insert your own country here) says there is a moratorium on other living expenses, how will you be able to pay this back when you were living from pay check to pay check? You have all this back payment to pay!
In addition to this, what about money to buy food? Will the government pay for this, too? They might OR they may lend you the money. But what good is that if you can't pay that back? After this is all over, you will fall into one of three categories:
you get your job back
you have to find another job and work only part time
you are unemployed
Regardless of your situation when this lock up is over, you will never be able to catch up.
Food brought to your door
We are told that food will be brought to your door. Do you think you'll be able to order what you want? Do you think it would be like ordering online from your supermarket? I don't think so. For those who do order online, like myself, we have to order two week in advance before we got an opening. Our first order will arrive tomorrow. I don't know how many items they will substitute or not be able to fill – period.
The supermarkets have a limited number of delivery trucks, so, as I understand it, they are not taking on any more new customers. So, IF you have food delivered by some charity or government backed program, it will be the cheapest quality of food. Unless you already eat this, you will not be nourished as you normally would be. So, this is what happens to the most vulnerable, the people they care for? I think that the elderly will be more at risk. Of course, they can say that you died of the Coronavirus; this will keep this virus thing going; keep the people in fear and lock down.
There are things you can do in a bad situation like this, but I will have to leave this for another article.
Take care and God Bless.
